WHAT IS A PHYSIOTHERAPIST?
To use the title Physiotherapist, a person must have completed a four year undergraduate or a two year post graduate degree in Physiotherapy studies. Included in these courses are study and examinations in anatomy, physiology, biology, manual therapy techniques, medical diseases, pharmacology and disease management. To practice in Victoria as a Physiotherapist, a person must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
